Pauline J. Collins, age 76, entered into rest on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Kanab, Utah. She was born in Miltonvale, Kansas on July 16, 1948, to Dene "Dennie" and Della (Demanett) Forton.
On March 1, 1974, she married Donald D. Collins in Concordia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2021.
Pauline worked for 25 plus years at Mount Joseph Nursing Home in Concordia as the Business Manager. She was a was also co-owner of multiple rental homes along with her husband Don in the Concordia community and they were landlords for most all their lives.
Pauline loved people! She was always willing to help anyone in need. Family was most important to her, especially spending time with her daughter, Jessica, and granddaughter, Vida. Pauline and Don took great joy in hosting the family Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Pauline also loved her yearly rode trips traveling throughout the U.S. with Jessica and Vida. Her hobbies included crocheting and playing cards.
Pauline is survived by her beloved Daughter, Jessica Collins and her daughter, Vida Romero, both of Lawrence, KS; brother, Leroy Fortin, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ostrom (Larry), Diane Sothers (Rodney),and Ronda Gumm (Jeff) all of Concordia, KS; also a sister-in-law Karen Collins, Benton, KS; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, Dene "Dennie" and Della, and a sister, Anna Henderson.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
Burial of the cremains will then follow at the Saron Baptist Cemetery, rural Jamestown, Kansas.
