Pauline Wood, 83, of Fitzwilliam, NH, passed away peacefully with her beloved family by her side on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Pauline was born on September 30, 1941, in Framingham, MA, the daughter of the late Walter F. and Delpha C. (Cripps) Burrows. She attended Antrim High School and graduated as part of the class of 1959. Pauline began her professional career at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough, where she was highly regarded for her professionalism and unwavering work ethic. Over her 40-year tenure, Pauline held various positions, with a significant period spent as a ship and packing supervisor, as well as in Rota assembly. Her passion, witty personality, and leadership were evident throughout her career.
Pauline cherished spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo and board games, working on puzzles, knitting & crocheting, and watching game shows in her later years.
Upon retiring in 2001, Pauline and her husband Jim spent summers at Cold Springs Resort in Weare, NH, and winters in Largo, Florida, at Teakwood Village. They resided there full-time starting in 2009, enjoying the sunshine, warm weather, many friends, shuffleboard games, bingo, events, and dance parties at their clubhouse.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, James N. Wood, Sr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Connell and her husband Steve, AnnMarie Coppo and her husband Jim; three sons, James Jr. and his wife Cathy, Richard and his wife Theresa, Andrew and his wife Heidi; her brother David Burrows and sister Frances Shackett; grandchildren, Michael & Lindsey St Onge, Alyssa & Kyle Wood, Samantha Lapinsky, Emily Gagnon, Meghan Wood, McKenzie & Jacob Wood, Tyler & Hannah Coppo; six great-granddaughters, Olivia, Brooke, Zoey, Sophia, Fiona & Aurora.
Pauline leaves behind a wealth of cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Pauline & James at St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452 on May 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Their burial will take place following the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 76 Stagecoach Rd, Bennington, NH 03442.
