Pearl Thornton Obituary

Pearl Frances Thornton, the daughter of the late Dennis Dulin "Dooley" and Pearl Ennis McGinley was born September 29, 1930, in Gideon, MO.
On August 3, 1949, in Piggott, AR, she was united in marriage to Jackie Lee Thornton. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2005.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon, MO.
Mrs. Thornton died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Gideon, MO, at the age of 94 years.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Paulette Regan of Flint, MI and Jonnie Loraine Nelson of Gideon; 1 sister, Anne Mae Boyd of Clio, MI; 3 grandchildren, Amber, Onna and Nicholas Scott; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Jackie Lee Thornton, Jr.; 1 granddaughter, Carih Kaiser; 5 sisters, Katie Prewitt, Geneva Hollis, Eddie McGinley, Cassie McGinley, Maggie Freeman and 6 brothers, Charlie McGinley, Raymond McGinley, Max McGinley, Leonard McGinley, Tommy McGinley and Dennis Earnest McGinley.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Gideon. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 P.M., at the church, with Reverend Randy DeProw officiating. Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO.
