Peggy Ann Allen Erts, age 84, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Drew's Place of Coldwater surrounded by family. She was born on December 19, 1940, in Waterloo, IN to Earl and Mary (Frick) Pierson. She married LeRoy Allen on October 10, 1959, and he preceded her in death in 1993. Peggy graduated from Quincy High School ('58) and worked for several years at Federal Mogul as a computer operator and later at Acorn Products and Acore Door. Peggy was a faithful member of Union Church in Quincy. In her spare time, she was an avid reader who loved going on walks, enjoying the outdoors, and having coffee with family. Her home was a beloved Halloween gathering spot with friends and family, and a must stop for neighborhood children every year. Every family and neighborhood dog loved her.
She was a lifelong supporter of Quincy athletics and remained a familiar face in the stands throughout the years. She especially loved attending her children's and grandchildren's events. Peggy also had a passion for cheering on the University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers and Lions.
Survivors include three daughters: Tracy (Paul) Wiegand, Linda (Darrell) Snyder, and Amy Harmon (Troy Harmon); grandchildren Christina Wiegand, Daniel Wiegand, Rebecca (Jordan) Baker, Ryan Snyder, Elliot Snyder, Mary Snyder, Andrew Harmon, Emily (Brock) Martin, Natalie (Noah) Fee, Abigail Harmon; and her first great-grandchild, Maggie Martin on the way; sisters Helen Beard and Pat (Norm) Knisely; special niece Karol Booher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands: LeRoy Allen and Gerald Erts; infant son David Allen, and brother Walt Pierson.
