Peggy Collins Kuchenbrod, 70, died peacefully in her home in Sunbury, surrounded by her family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Lillian, her beloved husband Ray, and her precious babies April, Jason, and Tammy.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Debbie (Woody); sons, Rusty (Sandi), and Kevin (Jessica); grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna), Samantha, Paul (Caroline), and Sabrina (Justin); great grandchildren, Rayleigh, Ethan, and Hazel; as well as many other nephews, nieces, extended family to include additional grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Peggy touched the lives of so many people throughout her years here on this earth and will truly be missed by all. Whether you knew her from her years driving the school bus for Gates County Schools or from her owning & operating Peggy’s Country Cafe for 16 years, you were truly blessed to have met her. Her family grew each day as your kids became her kids as she got them to and from safely. She poured her heart into the Cafe as she served her Newland Family each day for so many years. She found comfort and joy in this each and every day, and struggled with giving it up when her body was telling her it was time to retire. After retirement she found comfort and joy in maintaining connections with the community through her church family and loving friends.
Rest easy, you are forever loved and new again.
