Peggy was born July 8, 1939, in Franklin, Louisiana, to the late Alice and Arnold Hidalgo. Shortly after her graduation from St. John High School, she married her childhood sweetheart, the late Joe Supple. From there they spent a wonderful and eventful 47 years together, raising 5 children until his death in 2006.
She enjoyed her daily walks around the square and spending time with her family.
Peggy maintained a deep spiritual connection to south Louisiana through her extended family and visited as often as she could. Though she missed her home town, she adored her friends in Oxford, and was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joe Supple; son, Joe Supple III; and brothers, Charles and AJ Hidalgo.
She leaves behind her children, John Supple and his wife, Sandra, of Oxford, Mississippi, Alice Davis and husband, George, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, Jennifer Jones of Lakeland, Tennessee, and Catherine Michael of Austin, Texas; brothers, Danny Hidalgo of Franklin, Louisiana and Don Hidalgo of Houma, Louisiana; and sister, June Thibodeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana. She'll also be missed by her seven grandchildren - Lauren Davis, Parker Davis, Lydia Supple, Evan Michael, Isabelle Michael, and Joey and Scarlett Jones.
