Predeceased by his parents Pacifico and Giuseppina (Ippolito) De Guglielmo.
Born in Avellino, Italy, Pelly immigrated to the United States, with his family, as a young man in search of opportunity, hope, and a better life. Pelly served honorably in the United States Army in Korea. Upon returning home, he took advantage of the GI Bill, attending school to become an electronics technician. His hard work and dedication led him to a long and successful career at M/A-COM, where he eventually rose to the position of Supervisor of the Electronics Tech Department.
Pelly (Bill) married the love of his life, Giovanna Curatolo, and together they built their life in Watertown filled with devotion, laughter, and the joys of family as they raised four children. At home, he was the rock of his family - strong, steady, and endlessly supportive. He taught by doing, showing his children the value of hard work, the importance of honesty, and the power of perseverance. His love was steadfast, his sacrifices many, and his pride in his family immeasurable.
A man of many talents and endless energy, Pelly was as comfortable fixing a circuit board as he was working in his vegetable garden or perfecting his homemade wine. He loved the outdoors, especially the time he spent at Cape Cod, where he especially enjoyed quahogging and golf. In his younger years, his natural athleticism was apparent, participating in company softball and bowling leagues. Later in life, he found joy and camaraderie on the golf course.
Wherever he went, Pelly made friends. His warm smile, and sincere kindness left an impression on all who met him. He was, in every sense of the word, a "real nice guy" - someone people looked up to and trusted, a man who made those around him feel welcome and valued. He had a warm heart, a sharp mind, and a generous spirit. He was a great friend, always ready with a story, a helping hand, or a glass of his homemade vino. His wisdom and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered - in every loving memory, every story told, and every life he touched along the way.
