Lyman, SC – Peyton Marie Davis, 57, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 28, 2025 in Spartanburg, SC. Peyton was a woman of strength and selflessness who lost her battle to cancer. She was the daughter of the late Carl "Ralph" and Diana Kay Gulley and the loving wife of 26 years to Bryan Lavon Davis.
Peyton spent 13 dedicated years working at BMW, where she was known for her work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, she had a remarkable gift for making jewelry-pieces she lovingly gave away to friends and loved ones; each one a small reflection of her generous spirit.
Peyton had a deep love for her family; both near and far. She found great joy in exploring her roots through genealogy and cherished time spent with her loved ones above all else. Her heart was happiest in the Tennessee mountains, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the orange and white of her beloved Tennessee Volunteers. Her passion for Tennessee football ran deep- a joy she proudly shared with those around her.
Peyton's warmth, loyalty, and creativity touched the lives of many, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 5 children, Brittany Diana Forrester, Jesse Hezekiah James Byington, Bryan "Austin" Davis, Brianna Elizabeth Davis, Carl Ellison Davis; 7 grandchildren, Jace, Theodore, Michael, Madison, Leviticus, Isabelle, and Daysi.
At Peyton's request, no services will be held.
