Cochran – USAF MSgt. Retired Philip E. Stone, age 81, passed away, Monday, June 30, 2025, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour before the service Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Mr. Philip, born in Marlborough, MA, had lived in Cochran since 1987. He was the son of the late Everett Walter and Harriet Mullen Stone. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Fountain Stone and his sister, Joann Lee. Philip was a Master Sergeant retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service and was retired from Trane Technologies after 17 years of service. He was Catholic.
Survivors are his children, Cyndi (Craig) McAdam and Jeff (Kristy) Stone all of Cochran and Justin (Reina) Stone of Warner Robins; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; his sisters, Maureen Stone of MA and Eleanor Main of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Georgia Canine Resue and Rehab, 235 Mac Thompson Road, Cochran, GA 31014
The family is at 185 Lucas Road, Cochran.
