Phyllis Duggan, age 94, beloved wife of the late Cornelius "Doug" Duggan, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, surrounded by her children.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on March 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George and Antoinette Rose LeBlanc. Phyllis spent her early childhood in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, and returned to Medford at age seven, speaking only French. She later attended St. Clements High School.
Phyllis and Doug were married for 33 years and raised their four children in Billerica, Massachusetts. She enjoyed a successful career at Sipex Corporation in Billerica, where she managed multiple departments, before retiring and settling in Westford, where she lived for 25 years.
She is survived by her four children: Kevin Duggan of Lowell; Michelle Duggan Eilts of Wichita, Kansas; Danielle and her husband Steven Arnold of Westford; and David Duggan of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Brittany and her husband Adam Belyamani of Kansas, Adrienne Eilts of Denver, Colorado, Presley Duggan of Denver, and Jared Arnold of Westford, Massachusetts; as well as three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In retirement, Phyllis embraced her passions for ballroom dancing and singing. She was the lead female vocalist for The Comeback Kids, a band that performed swing, Latin, and contemporary favorites-an experience she treasured and often described as one of the happiest times of her life.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Vernon and Donald LeBlanc, and her sisters, Delora Boudreau and Claire LeBlanc.
In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
