POSEYVILLE, INDIANA
Phyllis Ann Martin, 74, of Poseyville, Indiana, born March 3, 1951, to Howard Charles and Dorothy Mary (Buente) Esche in Evansville, Indiana, passed away, Friday, July 04, 2025 at River Bend Nursing and Rehabilitation in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by her family.
She graduated from North Posey High School in 1969, was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church, the Knights of St. Johns Ladies Auxiliary #309, American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 8 and was a hairdresser for over 54 years.
Surviving are her sons: Samuel C. Martin (Julie) of Mt. Vernon, Indiana and Daniel C. Martin (Jennifer) of Wadesville, Indiana; brothers: William Esche (Sandra) of Evansville, Indiana and Eugene Esche (Kelley) of Mount Vernon, Indiana; sister: Irma Donner of Wadesville, Indiana; 8 grandchildren: Katelyn McGuire (Reece), Noah McCutcheon (Elizabeth), Logan Martin, Avery Martin, Caleb Martin, Jensen Martin, Austin Pearison (Lindsey) and Isaac Pearison along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Gene Martin and brother-in-law Maurice Donner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Wendel Catholic Church in St. Wendel, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time, Friday, July 11, 2025, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Any local volunteer fire department or St. Wendel Catholic Church, 4725 St. Wendel Cynthiana Road, Wadesville, Indiana 47638.

Dear Irma I was going through the obits and saw Phyllis picture I am so sorry to there she has passed. I haven't seen you all in quite a while but think of you often. Please tell her family I will keep them in my prayers
