Prakash Deshmukh

Prakash Deshmukh, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 1, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife Pratibha Deshmukh; his son Prasanna and daughter-in-law Shilpa; his daughter Preeti, and son-in-law Sanjib; and four cherished grandchildren.
Born in India, Prakash built a distinguished career with Associated Cement Company, working across various locations throughout the country. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found and operate a startup company in Nagpur, India. In 1979, driven by career ambitions and the desire to provide a better future for his children, Prakash immigrated to the United States with his family.
In the U.S., Prakash continued his professional journey, working at Fisher Barton in Watertown, Wisconsin, and later at RayMark in Indiana. Following his retirement, he moved to San Jose, California, to be closer to his son and make a home in the Villages community.
Throughout his life, Prakash was deeply committed to community service. He volunteered regularly, served as an election booth officer, and contributed his time to the local library. His dedication to civic duty and helping others left an indelible mark on those around him. He was an avid golfer and member of the Ironmen Club in the Villages. He also loved to play bridge and bingo at the Villages.
Prakash's life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family, his pioneering spirit as an immigrant who built a new life in America, and his commitment to giving back to his community. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he loved.
