Celebration of Life – Rachel Sylvia Anctil
In June of 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Rachel Sylvia Anctil was born. Throughout her
childhood, she moved often as her father pursued various business ventures, learning
early the value of adaptability and resilience.
In 1959, at the age of 20, Rachel met Raymond Anctil, and just a few months later,
they were married-a partnership that would last a lifetime. Soon after their marriage,
they settled in Miami, Florida, where they welcomed two sons, Richard and Robert
Anctil.
In the late 1970s, the family relocated to Lake Wales, Florida, where they would
spend the next three decades together. It was there that Rachel began her long
career with The City of Lake Wales, where her hard work and dedication led her to
the position of Senior Billing Clerk.
In the early 2000s, Rachel and Raymond moved to Clermont, Florida, fulfilling her
wish to be closer to her beloved granddaughters. Clermont would remain her home for
the rest of her life, surrounded by family, friendship, and familiar comforts.
Rachel had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She loved film and
television, great food, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family
and friends. She was strong in her faith, steadfast in her values, and known by all
who loved her as a woman who was kind, genuine, and true.
Rachel is survived by her son Robert R. Anctil and daughter-in-law Dana L. Anctil,
her cherished granddaughters Camryn and Marlee Anctil, and her beloved siblings
Margaret, Catherine, and Adolph.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
