Rachel Hoover Obituary

Ms. Rachel Ann Hoover, age 34, of Elkton, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN from injuries she sustained in an accident. Services will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Pembroke Mennonite Church, 2229 Rodge Q. Mill Rd., Pembroke, KY 42266. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday May 13, 2025, at The Hoover Residence, 7438 New Hwy. 68 W., Elkton, KY 42220 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of the arrangements. Rachel was born on March 13, 1991, in Lancaster, PA. She was a baker and manager at Schlabach's Bakery in Guthrie. She was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jacob and Katie Reiff, her paternal grandparents, Amos and Lydia Hoover. Survivors include her parents, John and Esther Hoover of Elkton, her brothers, Jacob Hoover and his wife Katie Mae of Elkton, and Eugene Hoover of Elkton, her sisters, Lucy Hoover of Elkton, Rebecca H. and her husband Lester Hoover of Hopkinsville, Anna H. and her husband Benjamin Martin of Elkton, her special friend, Lamar Martin of Elkton. Also 9 nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
