Obituary

In Loving Memory of Raul Robustiano Diaz
May 24, 1942 - July 24, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul Robustiano Diaz, who left this
world at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of his cherished family.
Raul was a brilliant microwave engineer, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud
grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived a rich and purposeful life, filled with curiosity,
dedication, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Raul had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for travel. Over the years, he enjoyed
numerous cross-country road trips across the United States, soaking in its beauty and
diversity. He explored the Caribbean's warmth and culture, and marveled at the history
and charm of Spain's cities and countryside. These journeys weren't just vacations-they
were a reflection of his curiosity and love of life. An avid sports fan, Raul followed his
favorite teams-the New York Yankees, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Lakers, and
Golden State Warriors-with lifelong loyalty and enthusiasm.
Raul was the devoted husband of Maria (Cristina) Diaz, the love of his life. Together, they
built a beautiful legacy grounded in love, warmth, and family. He was a proud and loving
father to Christina LaMarca and her husband Joseph, Raul Diaz, Jr. and his wife Kathleen
and Alexander Diaz.
He was deeply devoted to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Raul (Rauly)
Muollo-Diaz and his wife Maegan, Brendan Diaz, Marissa LaMarca, Cassidy Thibault and
her husband Anson, Adriana LaMarca and her partner Nikolas (Kole) Kosakowski, Kyle Diaz
and his fiancée Olivia (Liv) Steeves, and Joseph (Joey) LaMarca.
Raul was also the beloved grandfather of Dominque Rose Diaz, who preceded him in death
and now welcomes him with love on the other side.
His heart overflowed with love for his great-grandchildren as well, especially his cherished
great-granddaughter Paloma Muollo-Diaz, who brought him endless joy, and his newly
born great-grandson, Beckham Thibault.
Raul is survived by his loving sisters, Sylvia Diaz and Beatriz Franquiz, his brother Albert
Diaz and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Lourdes Suarez and
his nephew, Ronny Gonzalez.
More than anything, Raul valued being present for his grandchildren. He never missed a
single game, recital, or celebration. His pride in their accomplishments was boundless,
and his steady encouragement was a constant gift in their lives.
He was never happier than when surrounded by family-sharing stories, laughter, and
unforgettable moments. Some of his most treasured times were spent at Lake
Winnipesaukee, where he delighted in boating, tubing, and kneeboarding with his
grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them always.
Professionally, Raul was a respected and accomplished microwave engineer, contributing
to cutting-edge communication systems that helped strengthen and protect our military.
His intelligence and dedication left a lasting mark on those he worked with and the field he
helped shape.
Raul lived and loved fully. His family was the center of his world, and his legacy lives on
through their love, values, and memories.
In keeping with Raul's wishes, there will be no formal services. Donations may be made in
his memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
