Ray Tackett passed away July 3rd, 2025 at the Hospice center in ACRMC at age 82 years old. He was born February 26th, 1943 in Floyd County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Addie (Blanton) Tackett and 10 siblings.
Survivors include ex-wife Connie (Tackett) Sterling. They had 4 sons, Rick (Gail) Tackett from Michigan, Randy (Betty) Tackett from West Union, Ohio, Dwayne Tackett and Troy Tackett from Michigan. He had 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by 3 sisters, Mandy Clabaugh, Fay Bruner, Kathy (James) Griffith.
He was saved and baptized at the Brush Creek Baptist Church in Otway. He did ministry with local nursing homes and churches. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing and going fishing and hunting with his boys.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Noon at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, with Jim Williford officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to Noon. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home is serving the family.
