Findley – Raymond Edward Findley, age 86, of Fort White, Florida, went to his heavenly home on July 21, 2025, at E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was born on July 22, 1938, in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward and Mary Ann Findley. Raymond spent most of his life in Pennsylvania before later relocating to Pembroke Pines, Florida. He pursued his education at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida, where he earned a degree in Criminology. Raymond proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, after his military service, he began a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, serving as a Police Officer with the Metro-Dade Miami Sheriff's Department, from which he retired after 33 years of dedicated service. A devoted Christian, Raymond joined St. Madeleine Catholic Church in 1978 and remained a faithful member throughout his life. He read his Bible daily and lived with a strong spiritual conviction. He even documented his journey of faith and resilience in his book, "From Orphan to Lawman" on amazon. Raymond was also a dedicated Member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Madeleine. In 1981, Raymond married the love of his life, Darlene McNulty. Together, they shared 44 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love, faith, and companionship making Fort White their forever home 17 years ago. In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed the beauty of nature, jogging, and playing tennis. He was passionate about sports and led an active lifestyle. Above all, he was a loving husband and a dear friend to many. Raymond will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Raymond is Survived by his wife of 44 years, Darlene Findley; close friends, Tim Powers, Mickie Randelston, Rob Robinson, Kathy and Allen Webb.

A Funeral Mass in honor of Raymond's Life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at St. Madeline Catholic Church in High Springs, FL. Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:30, Prayer service 10:30 to 11:00 with Mass at 11:00 With Celebrant Father Sabastian George.. Interment to follow at St. Madeline Catholic Church Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel, Starke, Fl. 904-964-5757
