Raymond Jones Obituary

Raymond T. Jones, born July 12, 1939, passed away July 27, 2025, related to complications from a surgical procedure, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Jean Blazon Jones, who predeceased him in 2017.

A Lowell native and son of Tobias and Loretta (Albert) Jones, Raymond leaves behind his beloved children: Scott and his wife Aurora, Steven and his wife Dawn, Sandy Fitzgerald and her husband Sean, Sharon Paradis and her husband Thomas, along with 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother William Jones and survived by extended family Susan Jones, Kathleen and Bruce Cochran and many loving friends.

After graduating from Lowell High School, Raymond honorably served in the US Marine Corps Reserves, attended Northeastern University, and went on to dedicate 34 years to the Dracut Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant in 2000.

Post-retirement, Ray and his wife owned and managed Mountainview Gifts in North Conway, NH. The couple also spent winters in Florida, and in his younger years, Raymond was an avid fisherman and enjoyed their home on Lake Winnipesaukee.

A 49-year resident of Dunstable, Raymond will be laid to rest at Central Cemetery in a private ceremony. In place of flowers, a donation can be made in Raymond's name to the Dunstable Police Department, P.O. Box 225, Dunstable, MA 01827
