Mr. Raymond Loran Kersey, Jr., 75, of Wildwood Drive, Elberton, husband of the late Alberta Elizabeth 'Beth" Cliett Kersey, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Kersey was born in Augusta on September 16, 1949, son of the late Raymond Loran Kersey, Sr. and Oreta Henry Kersey. He was a 1967 graduate of Baldwin County High School, a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam, and was retired from Fibervisions. Raymond was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are his son, Rambo Kersey and his wife Brandi Nicole Lunsford Kersey; grandchildren: Savannah Grace, Kenadee Blake, and Ella Graeigh; siblings: Phillip Kersey, John Kersey, and Christine Patrick; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: David Kersey and Alvin Kersey.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.
Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 12noon at his residence, 141 Wildwood Drive, Elberton.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, 1575 NE Expressway, Atlanta, GA 30329.
