Raymond Linville Stone, of Versailles, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on April 13, 1951, in Lexington, and was a loving husband, devoted father, supportive brother, and cherished grandfather and great grandfather.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Stone and Geneva Dugan, and brothers James (Jimmy) Dugan and Joseph (Joe) Dugan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene C. Stone, his brothers Devon Dugan, Roger Stone, Albert Dugan, his children Missy Stanton, Raymond Stone, Chelsi Stone, and Jesse Stone, his grandchildren Ashley Stone, Brandon Stone, Jackson Stone, Emmalee Stone, Courtney Curtis, Alyssa Curtis, Charlie Dykes, Emilee Dykes, Mary Grace Richardson, Lincoln Stone, Elijah Stone, and Hayden Stone, and great grandchildren Jaedyn Thompson, Tristyn Thompson, Kane Stone, Knox Stone, Kahri Stone, Klover Stone, Liam Sills, Phoenix Walls, and Jaxon Wright. Raymond also has a great grandchild on the way, due in May.
Raymond dedicated much of his life to serving others as a licensed practical nurse, providing compassionate care to those in need. He was known for his nurturing spirit and willingness to help others. His work in healthcare was more than a career-it was his calling.
A man of faith, Raymond found strength and comfort in his relationship with God. Raymond's unwavering faith and dedication to his family were the cornerstones of his life. He lived by the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and he shared this belief with those around him.
Raymond will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and strong faith. He had a quiet strength and a warm, loving presence that touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the lives of his family, who take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of his Savior.
Raymond's family would like to thank all those who offered prayers, support, and love during his time on earth and in his final days. His life was a testament to the grace of God, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Friends and family members are encouraged to leave messages of condolences and memories on tribute wall.
