Raymond Burt Travis, age 67 of McEwen, TN passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1958, in Humphreys County, TN, to the late Gracie Pauline Swearns Travis and James Burton Travis. Raymond worked at B&B Dredging, alongside his late brother, Ralph Travis, for the past 30 years. He was an avid Titans fan. He never missed a game. Raymond enjoyed fishing, and cookouts with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jacob Travis and Caleb King (Nicole Davis); daughters, Brandy Tayor (T.K), Leigh-Ann Teasley (Brian Wallace), and Raylnn Collier; grandchildren, Stephen Fritz, Jared Paul, Ambraihia Taylor, Ezra Workman (Rashawonda), Eli Travis, Theo Davis, and Reid Davis; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Workman, Harper White, Kal-El Cottle, Royal Esfandyari, and Naleah Redbear; brothers, David Travis, William Travis and Douglas Travis; sister, Shirley Moore; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Along with his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Travis, Paul Travis, Rickey Travis, Ira Travis, and Ralph Travis.
A visitation for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Thursday, July 10, 2025, beginning at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mark Beecham. Interment to follow at Gorman Cemetery in McEwen.
