Rebecca Usama Aranki, born January 7, 1963, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 25, 2025.
Rebecca was born in Ozona, Texas, a place that always held a special place in her heart, no matter where life took her. She moved to Illinois where she met and married the love of her life Usama J. Aranki in 1987. Together they shared 38 beautiful years of marriage, building a family rooted in love, laughter, and unconditional support.
Rebecca, a devoted mother to her three sons, took immense pride in her close-knit family and the life they built together. Her generous spirit, sense of humor, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness will forever be etched in the memories of those who knew her. Rebecca had a gift for making people feel at home, whether it was welcoming everyone in her home or cooking for all to enjoy. Her heart was big enough to hold everyone she loved, including her pets, and she held a steadfast trust in her family and in God. Her vibrant spirit was a constant source of light to those around her, and the example she set became the foundation on which her family will continue to build for generations.
Rebecca's presence filled every room she entered; her kindness will forever be remembered as a cornerstone of her family as her love left a lasting imprint on everyone lucky enough to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will live on through her family, friends, and all the lives she touched. She will be missed more than words could ever say.
She is survived by her husband Usama J. Aranki; her three sons, Daniel Aranki, Jacob (Andrea) Aranki, Gabriel (Madeline) Aranki; her grandchildren, Joshua, Alexander, Eviana, and Lyla; her beloved mother, Elodia Perez; her brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Ovidio Perez.
Services for Rebecca Usama Aranki will be held on July 12, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Geils Funeral Home - Bensenville located at 180 S. York Road Bensenville, IL

Rebecca had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She was a wonderful Miner Street neighbor. She took pride in her sons. I am sure she will be missed by her family. Hugs to Sam and the boys.
