It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Becky Heckters, aged 68, on June 24, 2025.
Becky was born on September 18, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio, from parents Dorothy and Paul Heckters, who both precede her in death. Surviving are her sisters Lynn Moyer, Marge (Joe) Strausbaugh, her nieces, Lisa (Sean) Haggerty and Kylie Strausbaugh, her nephew, Chad (Heather) Strausbaugh, her Step-Daughter, Stephanie Shepherd, and grand nieces and nephews. Her nephew Josh Moyer precedes her in death.
Becky had a big heart and with a great sense of humor. She loved people and never met a stranger. In her younger years, being a natural athlete, she played many sports. Later in life, she enjoyed several rounds of golf with her friends and a few cold beers along the way.
Becky worked as a Community Services Project Coordinator for Seminole County, where her strong leadership, attention to detail, and work ethic earned her respect in her position.
Her kindness was quiet but powerful. Her memories will live on in the laughter she sparked, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely.
Rest easy, Becky. You swung through life with humor and heart-and we're all just grateful for having walked this course with you.
