Rebecca Schwegman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Rebecca A. Schwegman, who bravely battled cancer. Surrounded by her loving family, Rebecca passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at Sophie's Manor in Centuria, Wisconsin, at the age of 71.

Rebecca was born on January 15, 1954, to Henry and Leona Schwegman of Taylors Falls, Minnesota. In a memorable start to life, she made her arrival en route to the hospital - born in the car on a cold winter night before reaching the delivery room. She was raised in Taylors Falls and graduated from Taylors Falls Public School in 1972.

She worked for many years at the Aveda Spa in Osceola, WI, and later at Majestic Falls in St. Croix Falls, where she built lasting friendships and shared her caring nature.

Rebecca was passionate about her family, cooking, and gardening. She adored her two daughters and granddaughter, who were the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them. Rebecca found great joy in the kitchen, where she prepared home-cooked meals that brought comfort to her loved ones. She also loved tending to her garden each year, watching it bloom more beautifully with every season. Canning the vegetables she grew was one of her favorite traditions, and she took pride in sharing the harvest with family and friends.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Meghan (Ryan) Lee and April Simmons; granddaughter, Hailee DeLorme; brother, Randy (Terri) Schwegman; sister, Linda Brink; and bonus sister, Jillian Jensen. She will forever be remembered by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leona Schwegman; grandparents, Joseph and Mary Schwegman and Joseph and Minnie Heisick; several beloved aunts and uncles; and her cherished dog, Anabelle.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Rebecca's Niece Beka Kali, Sophie's Manor and Adoray Hospice for the compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Rebecca over the years.
