Regina Marie Vetsch, formerly of Albertville, passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at age 47.
Regina was born December 17, 1977 in Coon Rapids, MN, the daughter of Douglas and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Berning) Vetsch. She grew up in Albertville and graduated as valedictorian from St. Michael-Albertville High School in 1996. In May 2000, Regina graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Liberal Studies. After graduating college, Regina found fulfillment in a variety of different jobs, including working at book shops, cooking in restaurants, providing care as a home health aid, and substitute teaching. Over her life, she spent time living in Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska, and New Mexico.
Regina enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, and going for walks. She liked to travel and learn about new places and cultures. Regina also loved music and singing, and never passed up the chance to perform karaoke. For much of her life, she tried to make the most of each day by taking advantage of the many experiences the world had to offer. Whether it was trying a new recipe or chasing a sunset, Regina usually found a way to remind those around her to find joy and meaning in everyday moments.
Regina is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Vetsch; grandparents Alvin and Bernice Vetsch and Donald and Janet Berning.
She is survived by her mother, Betsy Vetsch; son, Jordan; siblings, Paul (Matt Laible) Vetsch, Rachel (Jeffrey) Steiner, Renee (Theodore) Goerdt, Rebecca (Brittany) Crocker, Bethany (Terry) Fraser; four nieces, five nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service and interment will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations that will be entrusted to Regina's son, Jordan.
