Federico (Fred) Leonardo Trejo, entered into the hands of his Lord on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 89. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A proud U.S. Army retiree, he honorably served for 22 years, including duty during the Vietnam War and remained active in the military and law enforcement community through the Fraternal Order of Police Chapter 27 in Corpus Christi, the CID Agents Association, and the 728th Military Police Battalion. After retirement, he dedicated his life to faith, family, and friendship. He is preceded in death by his parents, Federico Trejo and Feliz Ramirez, and his brother, Juan Benito Trejo. He is survived by his beloved wife, Consuelo (Chelo) Limon Trejo; his loving children; Fred Trejo (Lori), Mary Ellen Grassham; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service are Javier Arellano, Gerardo Arellano, Ricardo Arellano, Ernesto Limon Jr., Robert Lopez Jr., and Robert Lopez Sr. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 1:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Perches Funeral Home – West. Committal service to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson. All services entrusted to Perches Funeral Home – West.
