Reverend Edward T. Triem, 91, completed his earthly Adventure in Faith and passed on February 27, 2025, into the hands of his Lord our Savior.
Born January 28, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Ralph and Orla Triem. Edward attended The College of Wooster, Ohio for a BA. Degree, 1956. He completed Seminary at Princeton Theological Seminary, NJ in 1959 and his graduate study at The Institute of Religion, Houston, 1960. The Presbytery of Northeast Iowa ordained Reverend Triem on June 5, 1960.
Through his marriage to Mary Louise Frank, he had four daughters: Katherine, Sarah, Janet, and Elizabeth. He later divorced and married Barbara Jean Jordan.
For 60 years, Reverend Triem served many churches and causes, most notably, his 31 years of service at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church of Houston, 1968-1999. He retired to Brenham, where he spent the next 23 years continuing to serve his faith throughout the area.
Reverend Triem is preceded in death by Barbara Jean Triem and Mary Louise Frank. He is survived by Katherine Triem Walmsley, Sarah Triem, Janet Triem Stanford, Elizabeth Triem Yeoman, Melodee Jordan Thomas, Errell and Sherrell Jordan, eleven grandchildren, and many cousins.
The Memorial Service is at Brenham Presbyterian Church, 900 S. Jackson St., Brenham, on March 28th at 1:00 p.m., with a reception following with family and friends. The graveside service will be a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Presbyterian Church.
