Reynaldo G. Aleman Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on July 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 25, 1955, in Odem, Texas, Rey was the beloved son of Jesus R. Aleman and Estefana G. Aleman. He was raised in Odem and proudly graduated from Odem High School in 1973. Shortly after graduation, he began a lifelong career in civil service, working at Naval Air Station (NAS) Chase Field in Beeville and later at NAS Corpus Christi. Rey specialized in Environmental Protection, Management, and Compliance-roles through which he made lasting contributions and earned deep respect. His dedication to service spanned over four decades with the U.S. Navy. A highlight of his career was fulfilling his dream of flying in a jet launched off an aircraft carrier-an experience that sparked and fueled his passion for aviation.

Rey married the love of his life, Rosemarie Chavez of Odem, and together they built a life of love and devotion that spanned 46 years. He was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, Rey was especially adored by his many nieces and nephews, who treasured his kindness, humor, and guidance.

Rey will always be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, strong moral character, sharp sense of style, and signature million-dollar smile. Despite the challenges of a childhood battle with polio, he lived life with determination and strength, never letting obstacles hold him back. As a young man, he developed a love for classic and drag cars while working at the local Texaco. In later years, he became an avid cyclist, training for and participating in events across Texas with energy and enthusiasm.

Rey was preceded in death by his father, Jesus R. Aleman; his twin brothers, Jesse and Abel Aleman; and his in-laws, Raul and Trinidad Chavez.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Rose Aleman; his son, Reynaldo Aleman Jr.; his mother, Estefana G. Aleman; his brothers Efrain (Diane), Marcos, Ernesto (Helen), and Audon; his sisters Delia (Ramiro) Aleman, Anita (Michele) Aleman, Cynthia (David) Samaniego, and Victoria (Gary) Rieger; as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, 4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412. A Rosary recital and Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by Interment at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Derek Ramal Jr., Noah Samaniego, Christopher Aleman, Raul Lopez Jr., Matthew Brian Vela, and Randy Vela. Honorary Pallbearer: Christian Chavez.
