Dick was born on April 4, 1940 in Putnam County, OH to the late Edwin J. and Helen (Elwer) Gasser. For 25 years he worked for B.F. Goodrich until his retirement in 1989. Dick enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, watching sports, and playing cards and bingo.
Dick will be sadly missed by his children: Rick Sailer, Fort Wayne, IN; Ronald Gasser, Fort Wayne, IN: Keith Sailer, Fenton, MO; Gary (Hannah) Gasser, Payne, OH; Diane (Mark) Pease, Paulding, OH; sisters: Jeanette Myers, Delphos, OH; Arlene Hootman, Evansport, OH; Phyllis Fitch, Defiance, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dick was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Gasser and brother, Paul Gasser.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ottoville, OH at 2:30 P.M.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dick's memory to Antwerp Manor Activity Fund.
