Richard A. Hickman, age 71, of Linden, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Visitation will be held at 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1PM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street in Linden. Richard will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Richard was born on January 2, 1954 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Rondle & Delma (Morrison) Hickman. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. Richard worked various construction jobs throughout the years. His most recent was with Alberice Construction, retiring in 2002. He was an exceptionally hardworking man who always got the job done.
Richard was the avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, classic country music and old westerns. He enjoyed hunting on his property in Fife Lake Michigan, with his son Rick, family and friends. He enjoyed his family time as often as he could.
He is survived by his two loving children, Richard "Rick" Hickman Jr. and Stefani (fiancé Jeff) Hickman; two brothers, Joseph (Judy) Hickman, Patrick Hickman; sister, Brenda (Gary) Bates; three grandchildren, Giselle Hickman, Mara (Sean) Nichol and Kalman Polgar and great-grandchildren, Kenny & Lainey Nichol.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald (Phyllis) Hickman and sister, Cheryl Kettlewell.
