Richard Dean Lewis, age 74, of Lake Crystal, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Waters Edge Assisted Living in Mankato, MN.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Lake Crystal American Legion, 600 County Rd 20, Lake Crystal, MN. Family interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato.
Richard was born July 21, 1951, in Mankato to Dean and Donna (Evans) Lewis. Richard graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1970.
Richard worked for Tony Downs Foods in Madelia for 40 plus years.
Richard resided at Hartshorn Manor in Madelia for 9 years and recently was a tenant at Waters Edge Assisted Living in Mankato.
Richard was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal and did video recording of church services every Sunday for many years. Richard was a member of the Elks Club of Mankato.
Richard was a big sports fan of hockey, basketball, horseracing, golf, and baseball. Richard also enjoyed going to country western concerts.
Richard is survived by his two brothers, Robert Lewis and Jerry C. (Julie Miller) Lewis; brother-in-law, James Schultz all of Lake Crystal; aunt, Betty Thorson of Cambria; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joann Schultz; sister-in-law, Janis Lewis; nephew, Michael Schultz; grandparents, Arthur and Dolly Lewis, Lloyd and Ethel Evans; and extended family.
