Richard Clarence Morgan, 75, of Springtown, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Born on January 27, 1950, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Clarence and Maggie Louise “Teeny” Morgan, Richard lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family.


In 1952, Richard’s family relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended grade school and Poly-Technical High School. Answering the call to serve his country, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 29, 1968, proudly serving three years, including a year in Vietnam. His service was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal.


In 1972, Richard settled in Springtown, where he built a fulfilling life as a farmer, rancher, builder, and long-haul trucker. His strong hands and steadfast spirit shaped not only the land but also the lives of those around him. Above all, Richard was a devoted family man, raising his children with care and commitment.


Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maggie Louise Morgan, and his oldest child, Ricky Morgan Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Maria M. Morgan; his children, Chris Morgan and his wife Angela Morgan of Springtown, Michelle Morgan of Springtown, four step-children; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn and her husband, Tommy, of Fort Worth; his brother, Sonny and his wife, Sherron, of Mineral Wells; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.


A graveside burial will be held to celebrate Richard’s life on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Springtown Cemetery (GPS coordinates: 32°57'34.6"N 97°40'52.6"W


His legacy of service, resilience, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
