Richard Glenn Nyenhuis, age 86 of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Rich was born on January 7, 1939 in Hudsonville, the son of Jacob and Katheryn (Huizenga) Nyenhuis. Rich was a farmer and also installed siding at R&R Siding Specialists. On November 7, 1958, Rich married the love of his life, Eva Lynne Mohr, and together they shared 61 wonderful years. Eva and Richard enjoyed wintering in Sebring, FL for 19 years. Most of all, Rich was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Eva; his parents; brother-in-law, James Nicholas Mohr; sister-in-law, Valerie Mohr. Rich is survived by his sons: Richard James (Peggy) Nyenhuis, Robert J. (Rhonda) Nyenhuis, Joel H. Nyenhuis; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Mohr. A visitation for Rich will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2 PM to 5 PM at VanderLaan Funeral Home, and again on Monday, August 11 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Forest Grove Church, where his funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM with Pastor Doug Hoeve officiating. Private burial will take place in Forest Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
