Richard "Rick" Alan Pain Jr., age 72, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on July 8, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 8, 1953.
He proudly owned and operated Rick's Healthy Pet Foods in Barrington for 47 years. He enjoyed baseball, scuba diving, and spending time with his pets. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin. He was greatly devoted to his faith.
He is survived by his children, Richard Alan III (Katie) Pain, Martina (Mark) Guzman, Vanessa (Connor) Bankson, Michelle Pain, and Lauren (Kenny) Chamberlain; his 12, grandchildren; he is also survived by his mother, Nancy (John) Kostelny; his stepmother, Sharon Pain, and his siblings, Susan Pain Opraseuth, Kathleen (Heribert) Stumpf, Jennifer (Chuck) Speros, Stephanie (Bob) Pain Jett and Michael (Kristen) Pain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Alan Pain Sr.
