Geary Edward Andrews died on Friday, October 17, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer.
Geary was born at home on July 20, 1952 in Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma to Jerry Dale Andrews and Kathryn Lavada "Denton" Andrews. After high school, Geary joined the Navy from 1970 to 1974. He attended air conditioning and refrigeration school in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He always had a passion for heating and air, and mastered the necessary skills at OSUIT from 1975 to 1977. Geary was quickly hired by the FAA, where he spent 45 years as a Airways Transportation Systems Specialist.
After retirement, Geary planned to enjoy fishing, traveling, gardening, and restoring vintage muscle cars. Unfortunately, in February 2023, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He weathered treatment with his usual grit, but passed away with numerous family members by his side. His family would like to thank Dr. Rhonda Gentry and staff at Carti for their tireless and dedicated care.
Geary will be remembered for his never ending selfless heart and willingness to help others, as well as his witty personality and ability to put a smile on everyone's face. He was very mischievous, a real prankster. Geary was devoted to his family.
