Ricky Hock Obituary

Ricky "Rick" DuWayne Hock, 65, of Lisbon, North Dakota, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on November 29, 2023. Rick was born on May 25, 1958, to Donald "Donnie" & Marilyn (Bratlie) Hock in Lisbon, ND. He grew up on a farm south of Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1976. After graduation he went on to college in Wahpeton where he graduated with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He worked at Titan Machinery for 33 years before retiring in May 2023 due to health issues.
Rick married his wife, Mary, on December 27, 2004. Rick was very active in bowling with his dad and participated in league and many tournaments throughout the years. Rick was very excited in February 1999 when he bowled a 300 game for which he received a certificate and a ring. Rick loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake were his favorite past times. Rick also enjoyed spending time with his stepchildren and especially with his three grandchildren. He took pride in teaching the grandchildren how to fish. From catching worms to casting a line, he made sure the kids knew how to do things the right way.
Rick is survived by his wife Mary, his mother Marilyn, his brothers Jim (Donna) Hock, Jeff (Tina) Hock, stepchildren Kayla (Dana) Larson, Jeffery (Alea) Elijah, Tyler Elijah and his girlfriend Kalli. Three grandchildren, Laynee, Waylon, and Clayton Elijah. Rick is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Donnie, and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30am followed by a memorial service at 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon. The interment will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, near Lisbon. Rick's service will be live streamed.
