Ricky J. Minor was born on January 3, 1965, in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Charles and Nellie Minor. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.
He was a great employee at Ford Motor Company for 31 years and retired in April 2024.
Ricky had a smile and laugh so infectious, they could light up any room he entered. His presence brought warmth and joy, effortlessly lifting the spirits of those around him. He never met a stranger, just friends he hadn't yet made and he always had a story to share or a kind word to say. Ricky was deeply family-oriented, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones. He had a soft spot for cats, whose companionship brought him comfort and joy. A true sports enthusiast, he lit up with excitement during every 49ers, UofL, and Pacers game, cheering with the same passion he brought to every part of his life. He also found joy in the simple pleasures – cooking delicious meals, casting a line on peaceful fishing trips, and enjoying throwing darts. Ricky's kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nellie Rosetta Towns. He departed this life on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 8:32 p.m. at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Brittany Graves, Brandehn Todd, and Mackenzie Green; his siblings, Charles Jr (Shirley), Shirlene, Brenda, Patrician, Maurice, and Anita; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
