Ricky Owens Obituary

Ricky J. Owens, 63, of Claypool, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at his home.
Ricky was born October 3, 1961 in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Dyrs N and Eva (Brown) Owens.
He was a 1980 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
He was a truck driver and mechanic and also worked for Parker & Sons Equipment Co. He spent his most recent years being self-employed. Ricky enjoyed farming, carpentry and hanging out at home. He always tried to make a farm out of his garden being the "boss" and always kept a clean house.
Ricky will be lovingly remembered by his former spouse and friend Sue Brown, Claypool, IN, his son Matthew (Casey) Owens, his step mother Eva (Adams) Owens, Silver Lake, IN, a brother Danny (Jan) Owens, Indianapolis, IN, and a sister Kathy Jackson, North Manchester, IN, 7 grandchildren; Jaden, Joshua, Jordan, Jessa, Jacie, Josie and Jolie Owens and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by both of his parents and 2 brothers Dyrs Jr. and Donald Owens.
Funeral services in celebration of Ricky's life will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 in the funeral chapel.
