Rita Tracy Obituary

Rita married the love of her life, Owen Lewis Tracy, and they celebrated their 60th anniversary on March 20, 2025. They were parents to three children: the late Laura Lynn Tracy of Bourbon, Indiana; Bradley (Dee) Tracy of Argos, Indiana; and Rodney (Lynette) Tracy of Hillsboro, Ohio. Rita was a grandmother to seven grandchildren: Brandi Utter; Cody (Shanai) Utter; Travis Tracy; Dustin Tracy; Jesse Tracy; Rachael Tracy; and Connor Tracy. She leaves behind seven great-grandchildren: Skilee Utter and Rylee Jonas (Brandi Utter); Bruce; Jeffery; and Samuel Utter (Cody Utter); and Alex Laura Marie Tracy (Jesse Tracy; Ryann Cromer).
Rita spent four decades lovingly caring for and doting on her daughter, Laura Lynn. Rita loved crocheting beautiful baby blankets and afghans to give as gifts. She is remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, passing on her wisdom of gardening and canning, and her family and friends were often blessed with her delicious meals that she shared around the table. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with Owen, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Bourbon, IN) with Pastor Kristin Harp officiating.
