Robert O. "Bob" Adamson, 83, of Brandywine, West Virginia passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born December 14, 1941 at Fort Seybert, and was the son of the late Olin Cowger Adamson and Mary Alice Teter Adamson.
He was a 1960 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1964 graduate of WVU with a BS in Animal Science. He worked for the WVU Extension Service as a livestock specialist, returned to the family farm in the fall of 1965, and worked on the farm until his passing.
Bob served on the Pendleton County Board of Education from 1981 - 1992 and was Board President from 1983 - 1990. He was active in 4-H livestock judging both as a youth and at college levels and in meat judging while attending WVU.
He was a member of the Fairview Bethel United Methodist Church, the Pendleton County Farm Bureau and was one of the founding members of the South Fork Ruritan Club. His hobbies were farming, bear hunting, trail riding on horseback, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Amy Lynn Adamson Batson (Randy) of Brandywine

Jane Conrad (Steve) of Brandywine
One brother –
Bill Adamson (Lorrie) of Naperville, IL
Nine grandchildren –
Connor Adamson (Heather), Evan Adamson, Aiden Adamson, Brynn Adamson, Justin Batson, Colton Batson and Brock Batson, Alexa Adamson and Jake Adamson
A great-granddaughter –
Bliss Batson
And several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Adamson.
His body has been donated to the WVU School of Medicine Human Gift Registry. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Fork Vol. Fire Dept, P. O. Box 297, Brandywine, WV 26802, or the Pendleton County 4-H Judging Teams, c/o WVU Extension Office, P. O. Box 96, Franklin, WV 26807.
