Robert Becker Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rob Becker, aged 56, on May 7, 2025. A beloved husband to his wife Jackie Becker, step-dad to Nichole (Charlie) Light and Courtney Gifaldi, PopPop to Lily and Baylin Gifaldi, and brother to Dawn Becker Peterson, son-in-law to Peggy Post, Ricky and Nona Voyles, and many extended family and friends. Rob was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Stevenson Becker, and his father Walter Becker. Rob's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. He was a special man who loved deeply and left this world a better place by just being in it.
Rob served his country with honor in the Iran-Iraq War, demonstrating immense courage and dedication. His time in the service was a testament to his character and his commitment to protecting others.
He was a devoted family man, cherished by his wife, Jackie. His role as PopPop was one he held especially dear, showering his grandchildren with love and affection. Always attending every function he could.
Rob had a deep love for the simple pleasures in life. The beach was his sanctuary, a place where he found peace and joy. Fishing was another passion, offering him moments of quiet reflection and excitement. He was an avid sports fan, particularly passionate about his beloved New York Giants. He also enjoyed watching football games with friends and family.
Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, Rob was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a true friend, and his willingness to help others will be remembered by all. His love extended to all creatures great and small, with a special place in his heart for his furbabies, Dexter, JoJo, and Emi.
Rob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Benson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Join the family for visitation from 4-6 pm with the memorial service immediately following.
