Patricia Treptow Obituary

Patricia Jean (Gleeson) Treptow died Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. Pat was born October 4, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Mabelle and William T. Gleeson. She was raised in Wahoo, Nebraska with her sister, Willa and would meet her future husband, Keith Treptow, at Wahoo High School. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Lindenwood University in Missouri. After the army brought Pat and Keith to Fort Huachuca, Arizona, they eventually settled in Tucson, where Pat made it her mission to build community, kindness, and connection. Pat was president of VIVA PIMA! (formerly Assistance League of Tucson), and dedicated much of her time to volunteering at other local organizations, including but not limited to: Friends of the Pima County Public Library, Sunstone Cancer Support Center, and Meals On Wheels Tucson. In addition to her volunteering she worked for an attorney at a local law firm where she formed long-lasting friendships. Pat never missed an Arizona Wildcats basketball game (Bear Down!), and was an avid reader and crossword puzzler, prolific baker, and joyful gardener. The world will not smell as sweet without her cookies, coffee cakes, roses, or jasmine. A gracious, yet quick wit, Pat made everyone her friend. She hosted countless dinners, made frequent phone calls, sent consistent emails, and wrote detailed holiday cards to loved ones near and far. Pat is survived by her children, Michael and Chris, her daughter-in-law, Stephanie, and her granddaughters, Andrea, Alyssa, and Mackenzie, who love her and miss her very much.

What a warm and wonderful person. I used to babysit Chris. Mrs. Treptow always gave me money to go to AJ Bayless so Chris and I could bake a cake. She was beautiful inside and out. I hope it brings peace to the Family, that Dr. Treptow and Mrs. Treptow are together again.

For me Patricia Treptow was affectionately known as "Mrs. T". She was a warm incredible friend to our family. I remember many Sunday dinners with both families enjoying grilled burgers or a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Mrs. T rarely missed an opportunity to attend sporting events in support of her children's friends, I can recall seeing her at many of my high school games and my sister's football games. Mrs T's legacy is one of generosity, loyalty and support for those she cared for. Her friendly nature extended beyond the athletic stands as she was a true friend to our family through the years. Mrs T will be missed, but her spirit lives on in the memories of my youth and the support she showered on my family.

Pat and her husband Keith Treptow were our neighbors in Indian Ridge Estate for many years. My parents, Dorothy and Wesley Soland, and 3 brothers (Craig, Scott and Mark) loved their family and visa versa. One of the main attractions was Keith's vegetable garden, which we benefited from. Wonderful people and we will miss them.

I´ve known Mrs. T almost all of my life. I have such great memories of our families spending time together. Most of my really fond memories is she and I sharing our love of UA football and having season tickets together for over 20 years. It was a special time that we got to spend with just us (Although I know her true love was the Cornhuskers). You will be missed, Mrs T, and I´m glad you and my mom can hangout together again. It puts a smile on my heart.

I knew Mrs. Treptow through her daughter. I so enjoyed visiting her and her husband at their house. It was full of life and engagement and questions - everyone was so present and involved. She made you feel welcomed and important.

I worked with Pat for many years at Fish, Briney, Duffield, & Miller and through all the firm name changes that followed (and Althaus and Hobson, the latter two she worked for after Mr. Briney died). Pat was much more than a co-worker to me; Pat was a very dear friend and I am so very sad to learn of her death. I will forever be grateful for her immense kindness and warm caring to me in our many years of friendship and will miss her very much in this life. I offer sincere condolences to Michael and Chris and Pat's grandchildren.
