Robert "Bob" John Baird, 76, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Born on October 21, 1948, in Salina, Bob was the son of Helen (Wolsieffer) Heinen and Robert Foster Baird.
A lifelong resident of Salina, he proudly served in the United States Navy before going on to a long and respected career holding different positions at Premier Pneumatics.
On July 28, 1986, Bob married, Sonja Lee Luebbert, in Salina. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and enduring commitment.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sonja; sons, Bob Baird (Sara) of Salina and Chuck Baird (Courtney) of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; daughter, Katie Baird of Salina; and stepson, Brian Luebbert of Hutchinson, Kansas. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one beloved great-grandson.
Also surviving are his sister, Pam Usher (Greg) of Tomball, Texas; and his brother, Chris Heinen (Sheila) of Sun City, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Baird.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen and no formal services are planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.
