Robert Cullinan Obituary

Robert J Cullinan Jr. affectionately known as Bob, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 77.
Bob truly was a "Man for All Seasons", a title he earned through his unwavering integrity, adaptability and moral conviction.
Born in Detroit in 1948, Bob grew up in the city he loved. He graduated from De LaSalle High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree and MBA from University of Detroit.
Bob began his professional life at Comerica Bank before joining Ford Motor Company on Sept. 1, 1967. Over the next five decades he built a distinguished and successful career, retiring in December 2016 after nearly 50 years of service.
Bob leaves behind Gillian his loving wife of 39 years, daughters Heidi Marques (Hamilton), Kara Wagner and his son Keith Cullinan. Grandchildren Fletcher Hoven, Finnian Hoven and Alexia Marques. His four sisters Lynda Iras (the late John), Kathy Bright (Scott), Karen Melucci (Bill) and Colleen Gawlik (John) and his brother Tom Cullinan (Joanne). He is predeceased by his parents Robert J. Cullinan Sr. and Beatrice (McLellan).
In retirement Bob embraced life with the same passion and purpose that defined his career. He travelled extensively, mentored others and generously gave his time to causes close to his heart. He volunteered with organizations such as Focus Hope, Goodwill Industries, and Mitch Albom's "Time to Help". He also served his community through roles on his Home Owners Association board, and a role as a Strategic Advisor for a new digital asset-based bank, and above all cherished time with family, friends and grandchildren.
Bob will be remembered not for the way his life ended but for the profound and lasting impact he had on everyone blessed to know him. His deep-rooted faith, kind spirit, generosity and commitment to spreading love touched countless lives. May his legacy of compassion, integrity and quiet strength continue to inspire all those who follow in his footsteps.
