Leetonia - Robert L. Eskay, age 103, of Leetonia, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
He was born on January 8, 1922, in Leetonia, son of the late John and Victoria Dubiel Eskay.
Robert had Union Carpenter with Local #171, was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Disabled American Vets #122, Salem and the Joe Williams Post #131 American Legion.
His wife, Barbara A. Pershin Eskay, whom he married on April 12, 1956, preceded him in death on, March 9, 2007.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Joseph) Popa of Salem; son, Lawrence Eskay of Leetonia; grandson, Michael (Kelsey) Popa of Salem and a great grandchild, Travis Popa.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Victoria Zack, Julia Kilianey, Ann Warren and Margaret Moore and five brother, Paul, Francis, John, Steve and Joseph Eskay.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Deacon Larry Pasko officiating.
Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.
