Robert W. Fay (Bob) passed away on May 25, 2025 due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was born to Walter and Barbara (Beck) Fay on November 26, 1943 in Somerville, NJ. Bob had two sisters, Judy Orlando and Rosemarie VanIngen, both now deceased as are his parents.
After graduating from Bound Brook High School, he became a plumber and suffered multiple back injuries. Bob switched his career in 1988 training to become a mortgage underwriter. In 2005 he retired. On weekends he enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Bob met Tena Koller in 1988 and they married in 1990. Bob and Tena shared their lives with four children by Bob's earlier marriages: Barbara Morrill (deceased), Robert K. Fay (Angela), Suzanne DiBella (Dominick) and Heather Fay (Johnny Treemarchi). The grandchildren are Kyle Morrill, Robert K. Fay Jr., Ashley Fay Morales, Jamie Fay, Ryan DiBella, Emily DiBella, and Logan DiBella.
Bob was always welcoming to everyone. He possessed a disarming wit and had a rare gift of building a community wherever he found himself. With his free-spirited nature, vacations with the families, friends, and Tena's nieces and nephews were always exciting and never boring. We will miss the times we all spent together.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2025 at the Longneck Methodist Church in Millsboro DE at 1:00. Please come together to remember someone who touched the lives of so many, and to honor an amazing life. You may also share your memories on this website.
