Funeral services for Mr. Robert Harvey Goleman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston, with Reverend Jerry Silas officiating. Interment will follow in Burrough Cemetery, Gardner, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Goleman, 90, of Elmer, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 3, 2025, in his daughter's home (Sherry & Roy West) in Sieper, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to hunt, fish, and visit people. He was retired from the U.S Forest Center. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Bynog Goleman; his parents, Harvey Goleman and Betty Hodge Townley; and two sisters, Pearline Clark and Betty Manhart.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons, Glynn Goleman (Debra) of Elmer, Ken Goleman (Cori) of Elmer, and Jimmy Franks (Tammy) of Plaquemine; two daughters, Sherry West (Roy) of Sieper, and Karen Sharbono (Eddie) of Gardner; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston, on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Sam Clark, Thomas Turner, Trenton Sharbono, Hunter Goleman, Ryan Goleman, and Daylien Cloessner. Honorary pallbearers will be Devinn Crager, Bentley Goleman, Brandon White, and Brantley Stokes.
