Robert Klimenko Obituary

Robert P. "Bob" Klimenko, age 82, U.S. Air Force veteran, a resident of Naperville, IL, formerly of Troy, MI and Winfield, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 24, 1942 in Homestead, PA.

Beloved husband of Mary Jane (née Conley) Klimenko, whom he married on June 15, 1968, loving father of Kurt (Laura) Klimenko of Wheaton, IL and Kristen Klimenko of Denver, CO, adored grandfather of Benjamin and Alexander Klimenko, devoted son of the late John and Virginia (née Ondo) Klimenko, dear brother of Donna (Terry) Mudd of Munhall, PA and the late John Klimenko.

Bob was born and raised in Homestead, PA. Bob raised his family in Troy, MI and Winfield, IL. He spent twenty years of his career with the insurance brokerage offices of Marsh & McLennan in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Chicago as a Senior Vice President and Regional Financial Advisor, Bob then retired after spending three additional years as the Executive Director of Peterson & Ross, an insurance defense law firm located in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Bob also served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187.

Future inurnment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
