Robert Marve Obituary

MARVE, Mr. Robert Willie - Age 81, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his residence. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Vermont Christian Church, 1201 Lippincott Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM Pastor Devonte Powell, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Marve will be viewed during the family hour only. Mr. Robert Willie Marve was born January 16, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Jessie and Verlie Marve. Mr. Marve was a lifelong resident of Flint. He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army in 1964. Robert retired from Flint Metal Fabricating, a division of General Motors Corporation, in 1995 and was a member of UAW local #659. Mr. Marve's hobbies included visiting the casino, playing the lottery, taking care of his yard and home, spending time with his family, close friends, cooking and listening to Blues. Robert was a loving father, granddaddy, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Robert Willie Marve was united into Holy Matrimony with Margaret Lyneta Marve in 1962. He was a loving father to two sons, Herbert Andre and Steven Darnell, four daughters, Denise Marie, Shonte Denise, Tanya Rochelle and Tenisha Renae. Mr. Robert Marve leaves to cherish his memory: 4 daughters, Denise (Larry) Copper-Sawyer, Shonte (Marc) Shields, Tanya (Michael Jr.) Bowman, and Tenisha (Terence) Hill; 2 sons, Herbert (Mattie) Anderson and Steven (Sarah) Marve; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-children; sister, Verlie Wallace; sister-in-law, Tressie Ware; the Rushing family; a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends, Robert Shannon and Charles Logan Mr. Marve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Marve; parents, Jessie and Verlie Marve; brothers, Jessie Jr. (Bettie), Arthelda (Barbara) Marve, Charles (Martha) Marve and Harvey Marve; brothers-in-law, Kendrick (Delphine) Kermit (Margie) and Olander Ware; and sister-in-law, Olillian Ellis.
