Robert Mosteller Obituary
A native of Transylvania County, North Carolina, a son, and last surviving member of eleven children, of the late Charles E. and Lona Mae Crews Mosteller; he was a United States Air Force combat veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and a retired employee of Carolina Tool & Equipment Company. Mr. Mosteller loved to camp and fish. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved dirt track racing. He worked many years for Kenny Bernstein at Kingsport Racing.
Surviving are his wife, Lois King Mosteller of the home; three sons, Guy Mosteller (Renee) of Gray, Georgia, Robert Mosteller (Marie) of Macon, Georgia, and Michael Hollifield (Renee) of Campobello, South Carolina; two daughters, Melanie Cox (Ray) of Crossville, Tennessee, and Rhonda Underwood (David) of Greer, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Dustin Mosteller (Amelia), Gary Underwood (Heather), Blake Hollifield (Tristan), Jessica Gonzales, Cheyanne Durrett (Jacob), Breanna Jackson (Timothy), Katie Rowe (Roscoe), Megan Wright (Josh), and Isabell Short, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Ron Hollifield.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Ricky Campbell. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 3950 Pennington Road, Greer, SC 29651.
